What is it?
The Literature Sponsorship Program
(LSP) is a major ongoing ministry of BLF designed to provide free New Testaments, books and tracts to people (primarily in Africa) who are unable to purchase Christian literature.
Why have such a program?
A large percentage of French-speakers in Africa live in abject poverty, often due to the ravages of recent wars. The lack of local banks and postal procedures prohibit the possibility of sending payment for literature outside of their countries. Yet many of these people love the Lord and want to win others to Christ. How can they benefit from evangelistic tracts, New Testaments and Scripture portions for new converts, and Christian literature for spiritual growth? These Africans have a burden for evangelizing their countrymen, but have limited resources to buy tracts when they barely have enough to eat. BLF Europe receives requests for free literature every day.
|
How do these people get BLF Europes address?
Our address is on every piece of literature we print. It may be on a tract or book someone has given them.
|
|
Examples of requests:
Patrice Dablé (Ivory Coast) writes: After reading your tract "The Only Way", I have decided to accept Jesus as personal Savior and Lord. I ask you to send me a Bible so that I can examine it and be more convinced of the truth mentioned.
Ayale Koffi (Togo) writes: I have just come to know the way of salvation and my deep desire is to live in this Light. Please help me to grow in the Christian faith, to acquire the riches that are found in the Word of God.
Bayami (Tchad): We have set up a library for our church and our young people to better equip them to confront cults.
|
Examples of gratitude:
Soanfouo Ludovie (Cameroon): Thank you for the tracts. Ive shared the Good News with about 50 people. Fifteen accepted Christ!
Adama Charles (Cameroon): I couldn't sleep the whole night before I went to the post office to pick up the package you sent. I was overcome with joy. I am 21 and work with over ninety Sunday School teachers who teach over 2000 children. These materials are rich spiritual blessings for me, the teachers, and the children.

How can you help?
Whether your donation is a one-time gift or a monthly gift, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Your gift will be transferred to BLF Europe and literature will be sent in response to requests received.
Designated giving
:
If you know someone in need of French Christian literature, you may send a gift to BLF asking for literature to be sent to that designated person. The name and address as well as the amount of your gift will be transferred to BLF Europe. A letter will be sent immediately to the recipient informing him of your gift, along with a catalog from which he/she can choose the literature he/she needs.
As soon as their order for literature is received, the literature will be sent.
