Statement of Faith

The Godhead
We believe in one sovereign Almighty God, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Gen. 1:1; Matt.28:18; John 4:24; 10:30; 2 Cor. 13:14)

The Scriptures
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority of faith and practice.
(2 Tim. 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:21; Psalm 138:2)

Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right-hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
(Matt. 1:18; Phil. 2:5-8; Acts 4:12; 2 Cor. 5:21; Acts 1:3,9;2:32-36; 1 Cor. 15:1-4,20; 1 Tim. 3:16; Rom. 3:25; Col. 1:20;1 Peter 1:18, 19; 2:24)

Man
We believe that all man is sinful by nature and apart from Christ is incapable of meriting salvation.
(Gen. 1:26; Rom. 3:19,23; 5:12; Isaiah 64:6)

Justification by Faith
We believe that men are justified only on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
(Acts 13:38, 39; Rom. 3:24, 25; Titus 3:5)

Assurance
We believe that all true believers everywhere have eternal life.
(John 3:16; 5:24; 10:28,29; 1 John 3:2; 5:12;, 13; 1 Peter 1:3-5;Jude 24,25)

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
(John 15:26; 16:7,13; Eph. 1:13; 1 John 2:20, 27; 1 Cor. 12:13;Rom. 8:27)

Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - the believer unto eternal life and the lost unto judgment and eternal punishment.
(Rev. 20:15; Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43, 46, 48; John 3:18, 36; 1Cor 3:11-15; Jude 7; 2 Peter 3:7)

The Church
We believe that the church consists of all those who are truly born again by a living faith, that the church is the body and the bride of Christ, and that her mission is to witness for Him to all nations. (Acts 1:8; 4:32-33; Eph.5:22-32) We believe that the local New Testament church is the "pillar and ground of truth" whose ordinances are Biblical Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
(1 Tim. 3:15; Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 11:23-33)

Responsibility
We believe that all Christians are responsible to participate in the spreading of the Gospel throughout the world.
